Crying is Part of the Process

By now, my NFL Fan Series has been announced. It looks exactly how I envisioned it, and it is always amazing to record and collaborate with everyone. What you don’t see is how hard and taxing it is for me on the backend. The amount of sleep I lose, the research I put into each team, and the scheduling and rescheduling are always a lot, and unfortunately, I end up with 32 people per team.
Some teams, I can reach out to 25 people before I get a response, and sometimes people respond and say yes, but then they never schedule. It is ALWAYS something that happens when dealing with people, and because of that, it takes a lot of legwork. Even after someone records, there's editing, uploading, creating thumbnails, and writing descriptions… You name it, YouTube adds another layer of chaos. BUT all of this is part of the process.
Once things start to release, I always circle back around to see if there was anything I could have done differently. Being a planner, this is just part of the process. What I love the most about this season is that I wouldn’t change a thing! I planned earlier than I ever have before, and I had so many things ready well ahead of recording! What took the most time are things I can’t fix, because without people, none of this would have come together in the first place.
If you haven’t seen the announcement about the Series, you can find it on YouTube HERE. Lastly, everyone who agrees to talk to me makes this series what it is, and I am just glad to be a part of this process!
Crying is so healing, and being honest with myself about my feelings is so important. One of the things I have learned about creating content is that people want things from you, but never realize the time and effort it takes to provide those wants. Part of this process is learning what you can handle and make time for, and what doesn’t fit. It is why I only cover the NFL and College Football, and why I have a set calendar for when I can do content and when I can’t. Time management is the biggest piece of this for me, and without it, I would probably hate every single part of this process. Luckily, it is a skill I learned while getting my degrees!
Another shining light in this process, FINALLY adding Really, Flawed Football to Spotify! So you are interested in the audio version of everything I record? You can find it HERE on Spotify!
Until Next Time
