What Content Creation Really Feels Like (for me)

Being a content creator is such an interesting experience because the way I do things involves a process I follow, and that process helps me be confident and make sure I am talking about what I want to talk about AND what is relevant. When I get a vision for something, the hardest part for me is that I enjoy the editing process. It allows me to be creative and to challenge myself in ways other things don’t. It is like having a difficult conversation with a friend; now everyone is equipped to have that conversation, but editing is equipped to keep me humble, and I LOVE that!
One of the hardest challenges of being a content creator is the amount of time I spend behind the scenes, thinking, processing, deciding what I want to do, and then making things happen. YES, I have a master spreadsheet where I dump ideas, and I work from there. For me, I don’t need to talk about everything everyone else is talking about, lol, everyone does that. I want to talk about the things that matter to me, the things I ACTUALLY have an opinion on, and the things that keep me engaged.
Content creation to me is about CREATING the things you want to talk about and making that content your own. For some reason, I have fallen in love with creating series and really diving into things that I could just leave alone. Instead, I LOVE digging, I LOVE researching, I LOVE how football is a never-ending cycle, and I REALLY LOVE trying to tell the story of how I am making sense of things in my brain! For me, because I watch so much NFL and College Football that it feels natural. I am also very opinionated, so it all makes sense in the grand scheme of things.
Visiting Pittsburgh not only helped me clear my head and ground me back into my content but also helped me see the city's potential. It also reminded me how fun it is to enjoy what you are doing and to find joy in the effort you put into your craft! This is hard sometimes because it takes sacrifice. However, when a video goes live, and you see everything you put into it, it makes everything better.
Enjoy the picture below of one of my favorite views from my favorite hotels, in one of my favorite cities, and favorite moments from my time in Pittsburgh! 🥰🥰
